Challenge Dates: December 19, 2022 – January 20, 2023
Where to start
The Garland Independent School District is hosting a special winter reading challenge for students from Pre-K to Grade 12.
All students are encouraged to participate by reading as much as they can on myON during the winter holiday break, and to continue reading on myON when they return to school in January.
Students’ time spent reading will be recorded automatically within the myON platform.
If students are reading offline, they should they be sure to log back into myON with WIFI before January 20 so their reading activity is recorded in their accounts.
To join the challenge, GISD students should log into their myON account using Ready Hub.
Winners
Students who read at least 500 minutes between December 19, 2022 and January 20, 2023 will be entered into a drawing to receive a myON swag bag that includes wireless Bluetooth headphones.
There will be several winners for each school level: Elementary School, Middle School, and High School.
